Your mission, should you choose to accept it
We are seeking a passionate Front End Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in translating complex design concepts into simple and reliable user interfaces. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and implementing new features within our application from a frontend perspective. This includes areas such as user experience, user interface design, templating, and asset management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement new features across frontend systems. Collaborate with the design team to ensure high-quality UI/UX and efficient performance. Contribute to the continuous improvement of frontend development processes and best practices. Assist in bug fixing and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability. Share knowledge and mentor colleagues to enhance team capabilities. You will only focus on the front-end, but basic knowledge in PHP or experience working in a dev team that has PHP on the back-end is necessary.
Mandatory hard skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in working in a scale-up environment
- Experience in refactoring existing code
- Mastery of React and JavaScript
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS for designing reusable class elements
- Capacity in design touch and UX/UI principles
- Experience with templating systems
- Hands-on approach to unit testing, testing code, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Docker.
The 5-legged goat (or assets)
- Basic knowledge of PHP or experience in a project that had PHP as backend language
- Experience with testing strategies such as unit testing and integration testing
- Proficiency in asset management and graphic tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, IaC, and AWS is advantageous.
Soft skills
Proficient written and oral English communication (level B2 or above). Strong team player comfortable with pair programming. Ownership and accountability for work delivered. Ability to share knowledge and expertise with the team.
